Home baked bread

Sarah got a bike for her 6th birthday and Dad helped her balance and give it a try in the house. Everything pink! (David in the background is not grumpy. He just woke up a few minutes before the picture was taken.)

Here we are.

He's wearin' his shades and lookin' cool! He likes to put on any sunglasses you'll let him. He'll even keep them on for almost a minute before he takes them off and smudges them up.

The children are holding some of the daffodils we have growing around. Michael planted bunches last fall,different colors and some doubles, and now they are beautiful! Isaac got to hold one that was a little bit old and beat up all ready and after this photo he tore it up some more and kept sniffing it.

We made applesauce in Nov. from the Golden Delicious apples in our front yard. We peeled and cut up many, many apples and boiled them for a while and we were envisioning a canner full of jars full of applesauce. After all that work we ended up with two precious jars of golden treasure. We wanted to take a picture to document our hard work and enjoy the sight of it before we opened a jar and ate any of it. We finally opened a jar the day this picture was taken which was Feb. 13 of this year. We still have the other jar in the pantry awaiting its fate.

David took this photo. Finally I get to be taller than Michael!

Fun in the snow! Jan of 2007. Benjamin's snow dog is there in front of the children. Isaac only went out for short periods of time. It was too cold for him. But Sarah brought him handfuls of snow from time to time.
This is on the back deck after most of the railing on this half has been taken off. Michael also built a roof extension with a clear plastic for the roof so the light can still come through even though the back door is protected from direct rain/snow. You can see that in the picture in the top right hand corner.

Sometime before Christmas Isaac deigned, briefly, to wear this hat. He liked to shake the hats and listen to the bells that are sewed on the ends. But he didn't particularly like to wear them.

11-14-06 Isaac's first birthday party! Sarah chose the birthday hats for him. He wore his for a brief period of time.
